Vyšný Kubín, Renaissance manor house
Manor house Kubínyi in Vyšný Kubín is a national cultural monument, newly renovated since the end of 2018. Part of the manor house was built in the 17th century. Its characteristic appearance is due to the Baroque reconstruction in the 18th century by its owners at the time, Jozef Kubínyi Sr. and his wife Amalia Františká de Adda. Afterwards, it wasted away for some years, but the new owners breathed new life into the building with major renovations and brought back the spirit of the place almost lost due to neglect. The area currently hosts a hotel and wellness centre, wine cellar and a beautiful English park.
